Saint-Germain-des-Prés

Quiet and distinguished, in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, this 17th century private home was the residence of Daniel Gittard, Louis XIV's architect.
The Hotel has maintained the character of the mansion...

Its suites and rooms overlook a delightful garden where, wheather  permitting, one may take breakfast, afternoon cocktails or tea. This unusual and charming hotel provides comfort and quiet in a vibrant quarter of Paris where the avant garde lives alongside with history.

Ecole de Versailles chambre fresque Saints Pères

The ceiling of the "Fresco room", by the Ecole de Versailles, is worth the detour...

Near the lounge, another work of art also holds the attention...
It is the "Adam and Eve", by Georges Jeanclos, who died in Paris, in 1997. Cultures and world history are included in the sculptures of this artist - East and West, Biblical Characters, Buddha, Sleepers of the Nile ... Adam et Eve (1988), de Georges Jeanclos

Earth and man inextricably linked. Man moulded with clay. Earth impregnated with spirituality. The faces almost perfect, compact, mystical, yet with an insurmountable pain.
Georges Jeanclos' works are also presented in French, American and European public collections (musée d'Art moderne and Institut du monde arabe, in Paris, Jewish museum in New York...).
